Subsequent to the shooting incident at the Bryanston Parallel Medium Primary in northern Johannesburg and alert was released to concerned parents and pupils in the Bryanston area
An unidentified, armed black male driving a Black Subaru with false number plates uses a jamming device to steal cars

Parents, pupils and concerned members of the public are urged to report any suspicious persons or activity to their nearest Police Station

HOUSE ROBBERIES - RESIDENTIAL COMPLEX

Be on the look out for:

-Silver BMW

Suspects:

- Dressed like Police Officers

M.O:

Suspects are operating as Police Officers gaining entrance to the complex by showing a summons like paper.
They drive around the complex looking for possible victims.
They rob the resident by gunpoint and leave unnoticed.

- White Nissan Bakkie with all the gardening paraphernalia on board

It has been used in house robberies.

Suspects: A group of men posing as garden services

M.OThey stop at houses and ring the door bell, the domestic worker thinking that they are the garden service ordered by the owner opens the gate and lets them in.

Once inside, they tie up the domestic worker and proceed to clear out the premises at their leisure.

Please be alert and warn your Domestics to check first before they open the gates to even someone posing as garden services. If need be let your Domestics call you for confirmation of an appointment with garden services.

Please also be aware that they also are not perturbed by the return of the owners.

Be on the look out for a:

Silver BMW
Reg: TKN 870 GP

Details:
- BMW Silver dolphin shape.
- Tinted windows
- 325/330 model, but badge missing off car.
- 4 Black males in their late 20‘s to 30’s .

The car is linked to numberous house break-ins and hijackings. The suspects follow victims home.

- Glenvista Ext 3
- Mulbarton
- Glenanda (SAPS Mondeor)
- Little Falls
- Rosebank
- Lenasia
- Fairlands
- Northcliff
- Beyers Naude area

SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE

Please be on the look out for a blue VW Golf - very dark tinted windows, Reg: YGM 102 GP.

The 2 occupants Anton Jobert DOB 82.01.25 and Duwayne Raymond Bridge DOB, 80.08.02 are well known thieves.

Duwayne is wanted for several counts of Vehicle thefts in the South of Johannesburg.

The vehicle was spotted patrolling St Johns on 27/05/2011.

They are wanted at Mondeor SAPS for vehicle theft, house breaking and fraud.

NOTIFICATION OF FRAUDULENT LETTER INFORMING OF CHANGE OF BANK DETAILS

our finance department has recently discovered, through one of our clients that there is a fraudulent letter being circulated to our clients that we have changed our banking details.

One of the letters uses the caption of: URGENT NOTICE and informs of a change of banking details to an ABSA account No.: 9261456986. The suspects even send a cancelled cheque and may even send a statement of account along with the fraudulent letter.

Please be aware that we have NOT changed any of banking details.

Please DO NOT deposit any monies into any new banking account as a result of a letter received.

Should you receive a suspicious letter of this nature, please urgently inform our Finance Department on (011) 444-2237.

ATM THEFTS

ATM robberies have evolved.

Individuals alter the ATM machine with a trapping mechanism made from a strip of XRAY film, to make unsuspecting victims believe their card has been swallowed by the ATM.

All the while it is just waiting to be collected by the suspects.

ARMED ROBBERY

Be on the lookout for a Silver BMW 3 Series (Dolphin Shape) with tinted windows.

The vehicle was used in an armed robbery on the weekend and has been linked to another incident of a similar nature a few weeks ago.

The occupants of the vehicle are armed and dangerous so please do not attempt to apprehend them.

BREAK-IN TRENDS

We have pick up with the break-ins that occur that suspects are concentrating on taking:

- Electrical appliances,
- Plasma flat screen TV's,
- DVD players,
- Jewelry,
- Cash,
- Safes,
- Computers (hard drives and flat screens monitors),

these are all on high demand and can be sold very quickly.

Most of the break-ins that take place are due to information supplied to the criminals by domestic workers , gardeners or contractors when construction takes place.

Residents are urged to test their alarm systems regularly and to activate it at all times when leaving the premises.
